Jewel Thief version 1.0 - 8/27/94
*** Special Note!! ***
I have added in the feature that can allow the sysop to become
elgible for a free registered version of any of my other doors.
Built into Jewel Thief is a message that will be written to file,
JEWEL.MSG, when a player reaches level 30, 60 and 100 that has a
authenication code to let me know that a player has indead reached
one of these levels. When one of these levels are reached, send your
*.CFG and *.DAT files, along with the code from the message, and the
door of your choice to me, and I'll validate it and process your order.
If you already have all my doors, then we'll work out something else.
*** End of Special Note ***
Jewel Thief has made it through my beta testers and the hundreds of
other people that have played during it's beta period, so I am now
releasing it for general distribution.
This doesn't mean I'm through working on it, though. I've got a lot
of ideas and plans to add to Jewel Thief before the next couple of
versions come out. Some of the things I'm going to be adding:
- More and different levels, with different combinations of guards.
- Add in two new types of guards, The Sniffer and The Rock Hound.
- Lots and Lots More.
If you find a problem or have any suggestions, please contact
me via the different options that can be found in the M&S_INFO.DIZ
file and in the documentation. Even if it's a quick note about
what you have found, be sure and leave a way to contact you so
I can get more information if I need it.
** USA_DOORS ECHO ***
If you are interested in connecting into the USA_DOORS echo that
is used by my Beta Group, Beta's In Training, and other interested
users, this can be arranged. This echo is also used by Rusty Johnson
of JNS Software as well as a few other door authors, Bill Hicks,
Andy Steward, Walter Cade, and more joining all the time. We are always
interested in adding more Door Authors and beta groups.

Beta Testers:
I'd like to extend a big thanks to all the people that helped Beta
Test Jewel Thief. With their help I was able to identify problems
and make enhancements much faster than I would have on my own.
Although I can't name every single one, I would like to name a few:
Walter Cade of Arti BBS 1:398/2 - He has some of the best group of
people I've seen beta test a game; and Walter works them unmercifully.
Matt McClanahan of The Coliseum BBS (503) 692-6505 - The Artist behind
the opening screen.
The users of Com-Dat BBS - Who got first crack at all the bugs.
...and many more. I wish to thank you all.
Thanks
Mike
